Who we are
Our website address is: https://www.centrecalipso.com.
Comments
When you leave a comment on our site, the data entered in the comment form, as well as your IP address and browser user agent, are collected to help us detect spam comments.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the site, we recommend avoiding uploading images that contain EXIF GPS location data. Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from these images.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is for your convenience so you do not have to fill in these details again if you leave another comment later. These cookies expire after one year.
When you visit the login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
When you log in, several cookies are set to save your login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. Logging out will delete the login cookie.
When you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data; it simply indicates the post ID of the content you just edited. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves as if the visitor has visited that other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Use and transmission of your personal data
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
Data retention periods
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognise and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For accounts registered on this site (if any), we also store the personal information provided in their profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username). Site administrators can also see and edit that information.
Your rights regarding your data
If you have an account or have left comments on the site, you can request to receive an exported file of all the personal data we hold about you, including data you have provided to us. You can also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
